The chefs at La Vecchia Napoli use local ingredients for authentic Southern Italian dishes served in a charming setting. For Northern Italian cuisine, head to Marcello’s, which is perhaps best known for its menus. The one-of-a-kind creations (each handcrafted by Argentine owner Marcello Czernizer) are described as art collages, as they are mounted on painter’s boxes and decorated with seashells, garlic bulbs, olive oil bottles, and a variety of other materials. Menu items include filet mignon carpaccio, eggplant with fresh and smoked mozzarella in house-made marinara sauce, and jumbo shrimp wrapped in prosciutto di Parma with a white wine, garlic, and herbs sauce.

Described as Southern creative cuisine, the food at Silver Oak Bistro is full of flavor. The restaurant’s signature dish is the Kentucky shrimp and grits appetizer. Recommended entrées include “rags and fungus,” which is a freshly made crude-cut pasta with assorted wild mushrooms, toasted shallots, and melted white truffle sauce, as well as the “spicy craw-cat-fish,” a fresh catfi sh fillet stuffed with lump crabmeat in a straw potato crust and crawfish étouffée served over sautéed greens and margarita marmalade dip.

The Park Steakhouse specializes in 21-day dry-aged New York sirloins as well as seasonal fish with an emphasis on quality ingredients.
